Why take this course?

German electrical safety combines statutory duties, accident-prevention rules, technical standards and clearly assigned professional responsibility. The course gives internationally trained professionals a structured orientation without falsely equating course completion with automatic legal recognition as an Elektrofachkraft.

What you will be able to do

  • explain the main hazards of electric current
  • classify protective measures for electrical installations
  • understand employer, employee and professional responsibilities
  • distinguish an electrically skilled person from other electrical roles
  • apply the basic logic of visual inspection and DGUV Regulation 3
  • use the supplied summaries to navigate relevant German electrical standards

Who is this course for?

  • electricians and electrical professionals trained outside Germany
  • professionals who need an English-language introduction to German electrical rules
  • technical staff preparing to work under a German employer's electrical safety organisation

  • clear separation between knowledge transfer and the employer's competence assessment
  • concise summaries that point to the full standards without reproducing them

Entry requirements

The course is intended for people with recognised electrical training, technical knowledge and relevant experience. English-language competence sufficient for technical learning is required. The employer must still assess the person's education, knowledge, experience and assigned tasks.

Legal and technical framework

  • German Occupational Safety and Health Act and Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health
  • TRBS 1201 and DGUV Regulation 3
  • DIN VDE 0105-100 and the further VDE standards listed in the course
  • manufacturer information and the employer's electrical safety organisation
